Hobby Fest 2021
Usually in May, Games Workshop have Warhammerfest: a celebration in May of all things Warhammer. Last year it was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, but Nerd Princess got the community together to put on an online Hobby Fest featuring streams from all over the war gaming and RPG community. After the success of last year, Nerd Princess, MJG Paints, and Chaos Daemonette are coming together to do the same this year on 14th, 15th, and 16th May. If you're interested in hosting a session, please fill in their application form. More details will be available shortly, and I'll be doing posts each day about the different sessions that take place.
There will also be The Golden Poxling Painting Competition, which will have a number of very different categories to what you may be used to. They are:
- Most Creative Use of Colour
- All About That Base
- Kraziest Kitbash
- The Grim-est Dark
- Most Likely To Annoy A Gatekeeper
- The Best 'Worst' Face
- Make Us Laugh!
- Mad Hatters
- Old Skool Kool
- Unusual Upcycling
The entries can be from any gaming system, and finished work should be posted to Instagram using your categories hashtag (e.g. #goldenpoxling9 for Old Skool Kool). Each person can only make one entry per category, but you can enter as many categories as you like. You can also post work in progress shots using the hashtag #hobbyfest - but don't post WIP shots to the category hashtag. All entries should be 'safe for work' and submitted by 09:00 BST on Sunday 16th May 2021. The winners will be announced by Nerd Princess during her Twitch stream at 16:00 on the same day.
