Kill Team: Octarius
Although I've been in the hobby for over 20 years, it wasn't until a couple of years ago I actually started playing games of Warhammer with my introduction being via Kill Team. This is one of those really fun skirmish games you can dive into, learn the ropes, and try out different forces to see what you like. Tempted by Orks, just buy a handful of models, no need for an army, and dive right in. It's also handy that the games can be quite quick as well due to the (usually) fewer units on the table.
Games Workshop have now announced a new edition of Kill Team: Octarius, which will be a limited release. This new box will contain the plastic Death Korps of Krieg miniatures, and Orks - both lots specially sculpted for this boxset.
There's so much to like about this boxset - the aforementioned minis, and especially the new orky terrain. Ork terrain like this reminds me of the days of the Gorkamorka boxed game, and all the cool kitbashes it'd encourage. So in addition to all this plastic we can see it'll also include the core rules which have been completely rewritten for this edition, and the Octarius Manual. I'm not sure yet how those two differ, but I'm guessing the latter will be scenarios. It also includes tactical ops cards, combat gauges and dice, tokens, and a 30"x22" game board.
No price or release date has been announced yet, but I think it's likely it'll be in the £125 - £150 region.
